people de la mancha

The fascinating thing about water colors is the way the colors merge depending on how much water and pigment you use or at what point you use it. And you will only know what you get once it’s completely dry. So there’s a lot of chance involved. Similarly to the Tile People, the People de la Mancha (Spanish for “stain”) emerge from all these coincidences.

Each piece is finished with an embroidered detail. Embroidery is a craft traditionally regarded as minor and associated with women. Now we turn it into a strength.
